Home to over 220 employees, SAP Waterloo is a key research and development center for the world’s largest enterprise application provider and home to SAP Canada’s 1st AppHaus — a creative, cross-collaboration incubator that drives greenfield co-innovations in partnership with our field, customers, and leading academic institutions.
The AppHaus concept is inspired by the Bauhaus movement that started in Germany coupled with inspiration from Stanford University’s d.school (founded by Hasso Plattner, co-founder of SAP). SAP has 11 AppHaus locations located across the world who all share the following standards: open and collaborative work environment, fun & colourful appeal, no cubicles or status symbols, and all walls writable.
Did you know that 74% of all worldwide business transactions touch an SAP system?
We work in multidisciplinary teams of designers, business execs, and developers to create viable, desirable, and feasible innovations for SAP customers.
All our furniture is on wheels to facilitate all kinds of group collaboration scenarios depending on what the project requires.
Our AppHaus (fashionably branded WatHaus) is outfitted with all the latest technology required for rapid prototyping.
The SAP Waterloo AppHaus is also home to SAP Waterloo's d-Shop, a makerspace where employees can build IoT creations with various sensors, experience 3D with AVR equipment, or print off a toy soldier with our 3D printer.
We have plenty of different collaboration spaces with walls of windows for natural lighting.
All our walls are writable surfaces to facilitate ad hoc brainstorming sessions or fashionable doodles.
We also save room for some fun amidst all the developing.
